About David Doyle:

David Doyle is a Barkindji and Malyangapa artist from Menindee, NSW, now living on Wilykali country within the Barkindji Nation in Broken Hill. His practice is deeply connected to his ancestors and Country, incorporating traditional designs he has studied through oral histories, elder teachings, and museum collections. He works across multiple mediums, including naturally fallen timbers, repurposed animal remains (mussel shell, turtle shell, bone), recycled metal, glass, bronze, emu egg carving, and traditional artefact making.

David is the owner of Wontanella cultural tourism and serves on multiple advisory boards, including the West Darling Arts Advisory Council. His work has been widely exhibited and awarded, ensuring the continuity and visibility of Barkindji artistic traditions in contemporary practice.

This workshop is supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW.
