Current Grants and Opportunities

Here is a list of all the grants, prizes and opportunities available to artists in far west NSW that we currently know of.

JUNCTURE – LINDEN NEW ART
CLOSING: JUNE 29, 2025 

A biennial national prize awarding two mid-career artists $20,000 each to support exciting new directions in their practices, culminating in a 2026 exhibition at Linden New Art.

PRO HART OUTBACK ART PRIZE
CLOSING: JUNE 30, 2025 

Entries are now open for the 2025 Pro Hart Outback Art Prize, an acquisitive competition celebrating works in any media that reflect the spirit and diversity of the Australian Outback. With a total prize pool of $23,000, the prize includes a $20,000 acquisitive First Prize, a $2,000 Non-Acquisitive Second Prize, and a $1,000 People’s Choice Award. 


SPRING DEVELOPMENT RESIDENCY
 
CLOSING: JUNE 30, 2025 

Applications now open for a fully funded three-week residency for emerging and First Nations artists to develop new work in Broken Hill. Includes accommodation, studio space, travel support, cultural tours, and community engagement. Run by the Broken Hill Art Exchange.

MAC YAPANG ART PRIZE 2025
CLOSING: JULY 30, 2025 

A $30,000 acquisitive prize with a total pool of $40,000, open to Australian artists across all disciplines.

AUSTRALIA POST COMMUNITY GRANTS
CLOSING: JULY 7, 2025  

Applications now open for grants of up to $10,000 to support community-led projects that improve mental health and wellbeing through meaningful connection. An additional $250,000 in funding is available for projects in disaster-impacted communities, supporting recovery, resilience and mental wellbeing.

ONGOING

REGIONAL ARTS FUND QUICK GRANTS

Regional Arts Fund Quick Response Grants: Up to $3,000 for individuals or $5,000 for organisations. Open to regional artists, arts organisations and communities to take up professional or skills development opportunities, or respond to small project opportunities that arise at short notice. Delivered monthly from February to November.

Up to $2,500 per person for domestic activity and up to $5,000 per person for international activity 

This quick response funding program is designed for domestic and international touring and travel activity for NSW contemporary music artists, acts and music industry professionals. 

Open until November 2025
