Spotlight on Laneway Festival Artists - Kathie Najar

Spotlight on Laneway Festival Artists - Kathie Najar
GLAMfest - Gawler Laneway Arts & Music Festival has a number of fantastic artists and musicians participating in the festival which will be held on Easter Saturday from 5pm. Today we are introducing Kathie Najar.
Kathie Najar is an artist and visual arts facilitator that creates immersive site-specific visual experiences, that are informed by her drawing and watercolour works. Referencing histories, patterns in nature and in particular Islamic geometry, her visual language can attract, provoke and challenge spatial and relational perceptions.
She has worked in curatorial, collection and gallery management, created and facilitated extensive public programs. Kathie has won awards and residencies nationally for her collage, watercolour, hand painted tile and sculptural installation works.
Kathie's partner collection is Broken Hill Historical Society Inc.
