Broken Hill Family History Group.

Visiting Broken Hill? Check out the Broken Hill Family History Group. This gem of a volunteer organisation holds hand written records on births, deaths, mine employment and more than 12,000 photos. Founded in 1977, the group has more than 60 members. This unique group is coordinated by local author, Jenny Camilleri. The group is located downstairs in the Broken Hill Railway Station in Crystal Street, behind the mural painted by Geoff DeMain. There is something wonderful about the calibre and commitment of our volunteer run organisations that needs to be acknowledged and applauded in the Far West. The BHFHG provides a valuable service to both locals and our cultural tourists. Open 10-3 Monday, Tuesday and Thursday Telephone 80881266
