2026 CASP Organisational Funding Recipients
We’re pleased to announce the successful recipients of the 2026 Country Arts Support Program (CASP) Organisational Round, supporting community-led arts initiatives across Far West NSW. CASP, funded by Create NSW and delivered locally by West Darling Arts, strengthens regional creativity through workshops, performances, exhibitions, residencies, and essential equipment that improves program delivery.
- Broken Hill Repertory Society has been funded for its ambitious Theatre 44 / Darlo Drama Play Exchange Program. This cross-regional theatre collaboration will see two casts—one in Broken Hill and one in Sydney—rehearse and perform the same play, culminating in seasons in both cities. The project builds on two years of successful Darlo Drama engagement and will deepen skills, foster new creative connections, and expand audiences for local performers. By exploring flexible online and in-person rehearsal modes, the project models new ways of making theatre across distance.
- Broken Hill and Silverton Arts, Culture and Tourism Network has been supported to deliver Get Off Your Arts, a community-focused art and museum bus tour across Broken Hill and Silverton. Running full-day circuits, the initiative invites locals and visitors to enjoy galleries and museums with ease while encouraging participating venues to host special events, refreshments and immersive experiences. The project strengthens cultural tourism and deepens community engagement with the region’s creative spaces.
- Broken Hill Art Exchange will deliver a new After School Art Club for young people aged 7–14. Facilitated by local and visiting artists, the program provides a welcoming place for young creatives—especially those not drawn to sport—to build skills, explore diverse materials, and develop confidence. The year-long program will culminate in a youth exhibition at the Kitchen Gallery.
West Darling Arts congratulates all 2026 CASP recipients and looks forward to the impact these projects will bring to the region.
The 2026 CASP Individual Artist Round opens in March 2026. Applicants are encouraged to begin preparing their project ideas.
