Welcome to April!

Welcome to April
We are thrilled with the impact of projects developed from the NSW Arts Restart funding and we continue to be very busy making things happen over the next few months. The Life Drawing and Live Music nights at the Old Brewery in Broken Hill were a huge success as was the touring puppet show. The Culture Mapping Project is well underway and continuing throughout the entire far west.

We also are really pleased to announce that we were successful in receiving a NSW Restart Contemporary Music grant so that we will be able to bring you Live Music Month, which will see us paying local musicians to perform in a variety of venues throughout Broken Hill and maybe beyond. Stay tuned for further details and keep the 24th of April through to the 16th of May free in your diaries - or at least the weekends.

It is with great sadness we have learnt of the death of James  Giddey, the former Executive Officer at West Darling Arts from 2002 -2013. Mr Giddey died in Wentworth after a long illness. He was instrumental in developing many significant projects in the far west with a focus on Indigenous art support, arts/health partnerships and public art.
