Reedy River

Nothing beats locally produced theatre from our well known local actors and musicians!
Pencil in "Reedy River", the classic Australian musical performing on the 3rd and 4th of June at Theatre 44.
Reedy River is a heartwarming love story and a rousing Australian bush musical, set in the aftermath of the shearers' strikes of 1891.
The show’s collection of great Australian folk songs include Click go the Shears, the rollicking Wild Rover and the romantic title tune, Reedy River. The large cast of outback characters runs from hard-working, yarn-spinning shearers to troubled young lovers and a barmaid who’s seen it all.
Co-directed by Lyn Collingwood and Armando Licul, with musical direction from Marilyn Harris, the cast includes Craig Brealey, Jo Crase, Randall Dart, Peter Fox, Chris Harrison, Ali Lloyd, Robert Lohmann, Brad McLachlan, John MacLeod, David Piper, Wayne Richmond, William Schaefer, Richard Shoebridge and Rebekah Turner.
There will be an interval of approximately 20 minutes.
