School Holiday Fun at the Broken Hill City Library

School Holiday Fun at the Broken Hill City Library The early literacy programs will continue to run: Babies Only Baby Bounce - Monday 10:30-11am Baby Bounce - Tuesday 10:30-11am Rhyme Time - Friday 10:30-11am Also on Friday, the Knit'n'Yarn group, the Knitters meet from 10am to knit and socialise with a cuppa and some cake. They are always looking for new members, so if you like to knit and yarn, come to the library and join the group! In addition to these programs running the Library will also have: Thursday 29th September at 11am - Antarctic Wonderland You will be helping transform the kids area of the library into an Antarctic wonderland this school holidays. Come to the library and create a collaborative collage of all things Antarctic. You will also get an activity pack to take home to learn about Antarctica and the animals that live there. This activity and activity packs are suitable for preschool kids and up. This is a free event - no need to book. Wednesday 5th October at 11am - Shapes and Sound of the Neighbourhood Come to the library and be part of Shapes and Sound of the Neighbourhood. Join Si Yi Shen (Iris) an artist, and create a map of Broken Hill together. We will take on a neighbourhood stroll around Sturt park and surrounding streets and find new ways of considering where we live. Iris is visiting Broken Hill for a creative research residency with the Broken Hill City Gallery and would like to incorporate the outcome of this workshop as part of her residency artwork. Booking is essential for this activity and can be done via the website. ????bit.ly/bhcclibrary Both of these school holiday events are free to attend but we do ask that you book in for Shapes and Sound of the Neighbourhood as we will be leaving the library for a short walk and we will need to know numbers in case we need to arrange an extra staff member to accompany the group.
