New Regional Arts & Cultural Tourism Resource
With the Mundi Mundi Bash and the Far West’s busy visitor season approaching, now is a great time to think about how arts, culture and tourism can work together to encourage visitors to stay longer, explore more and connect with our region.
A new "Arts & Cultural Tourism in Regional NSW" resource brings together practical tips, examples, planning templates and opportunities to help strengthen cultural tourism across regional communities.
It is designed for:
- Artists and cultural organisations
- Tourism operators and event organisers
- Councils and other enabling organisations
The resource explores cultural tourism experiences ranging from galleries, museums and heritage places to festivals, live performance, First Nations cultural experiences, public art, music, food culture and creative workshops.
Use it to find quick ideas, explore examples from other communities, support a workshop or planning session, and identify ways to collaborate across the arts and tourism sectors.
It is an interactive, self-guided resource, so you can jump straight to the sections most useful to your organisation, event or creative practice.
Depending on interest across our region, West Darling Arts may also look at offering workshops using the resource in the future.
