NIFFA comes to Broken Hill this June

West Darling Arts is proud to help present the National Indian Film Festival of Australia as it arrives in Broken Hill for three days of cinema, culture and connection at The Palace Hotel from 12–14 June 2026.

Running nationally from 18 March to 5 July 2026, NIFFA is Australia’s first and only national celebration of Indian cinema, bringing Indian stories to Australian screens and sharing films that travel across cultures, communities and continents.

Under the banner Indian Stories // Australian Screens and Stories That Travel // Cinema That Unites, the festival offers regional audiences the chance to experience a vibrant program of contemporary Indian cinema right here in Broken Hill.
