West Darling Arts is pleased to announce that the 2026 Country Arts Support Program (CASP) Individual Grants Round is now open.
Artists across Far West NSW can apply for grants of up to $1,000.
Closing Date (Individuals): Monday 30 March, 5:00pm
CASP, funded by Create NSW and delivered locally by West Darling Arts (your Regional Arts Development Organisation), supports community arts and cultural development through projects such as workshops, performances, exhibitions, residencies, community arts initiatives, and core equipment purchases that enable program delivery.
Who Can Apply?
Individuals must demonstrate they are an artist living and practicing in the West Darling Arts footprint.
Eligible locations include: Broken Hill, Central Darling Shire, Wentworth Shire and the Unincorporated Far West.
What Can Be Funded?
CASP supports a wide range of arts and cultural activities across all artforms, including:
- Development of new works
- Workshops (artist/tutor fees and materials)
- Performances and exhibitions
- Artists-in-residence projects
- Community arts initiatives
- Core equipment purchases
This could include a musician upgrading essential equipment, a ceramicist seeking a kiln, or an artist developing a new body of work. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate how their project will impact the artistic and broader far west community.
Program Objectives
CASP aims to:
- Assist locally driven arts and cultural activities
- Support cultural identity and expression
- Deliver social and economic benefits through training and employment
Projects must be delivered: Between 1 April – 31 December 2026

Applications will be assessed by a panel of local arts professionals and West Darling Arts representatives. Assessment outcomes are anticipated in April 2026.
