EOIs close on Wednesday 30 March 2022
Create NSW Holiday Break Partnership Program and the Office for Regional Youth are calling for EOIs from arts and cultural organisations, and individuals, across the state to partner on a new initiative for young people during school holidays.
The Holiday Break Program Performing Arts Camp provides an opportunity for Creative Kids providers and performing arts organisations to deliver a performing arts residential camp or workshop program across a range of artforms. Funding is available for applicants to deliver a minimum five-day program of performing arts workshops in regional NSW. These can comprise drama, dance, circus arts or physical theatre. You can apply for $30,000 for a week Workshop Program, and/or $55,000 for a week Residential Camp.
The programs must include a partnership with at least one regionally based Creative Kids Provider, and result in a public facing performance, workshop, or showcase. For more information, guidelines and to register your expression of interest, https://www.create.nsw.gov.au/.../performing-arts-camp-eoi/
The Holiday Break Program aims to deliver a rotating school holiday program of cultural events for young people (12–24 years old) across regional NSW, with a focus on the resilience of the newest generation being affected by drought, bushfires, floods and COVID-19. It provides the opportunity for them to enjoy a range of recreational and social activities that are responsive, free, and local, so their creativity, imagination and self-confidence is enhanced. It also builds on their physical, social, cognitive and emotional development skills.
Winter School Holidays (4 July–15 July 2022)
Spring School Holidays (26 September–7 October 2022)
Summer School Holidays (21 December 2022–26 January 2023)
