GLAMfest - Gawler Laneway Arts & Music Festival

GLAMfest - Gawler Laneway Arts & Music Festival will be held during Heritage Week in Broken Hill on Saturday 8th April from 5.00 to 9.30pm. Local historian, Paul Armstrong, has written about the history of the laneway in 2022 (The Laneway of Memories - a journey through our heritage in the Silver City). The Victorian era laneway housed many businesses, including a boxing gymnasium, a two-up school, wholesale stores, sample rooms for alcohol and other goods like drapery, hats and clothing, and an outdoor cinema. The laneway contains some great examples of Victorian and Federation architecture; take a wander down during the festival to see how the artists transform the site. More about the artists + musicians here: https://www.glamfestbh.com GLAMfest is proudly supported by the Australian Government through Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund. This funding is to support communities in their recovery from the impacts of Covid.
